These photographs illustrate the refurbishment and renovation of my previous home, a two storied villa in central Wellington overlooking the town belt.
An extension was built to accommodate the new kitchen, the stairs were relocated and two new bathrooms added. Landscaping of the front garden formalised what was previously a cottage garden into a series of courtyards. The kitchen mosaic was inspired by one of my favoured artists, the American Willem de Kooning. I re-cycled the existing matai floorboards, specified new floorcovering, curtains and furniture and paint colours which all complemented each other to great effect. Throughout the house I provided  clean, contemporary detailing that sat well within the context of an early 1900's villa. The house was featured in House and Garden magazine.
