Karori Residence

This house was renovated in 1997 when an extra storey was added and an extension built to the rear of the building.

Twelve years later the owners, who have three teenage children, approached Andrew to contribute some ideas to refurbishing the ground floor, in particular the kitchen. This resulted in the demolishing of an existing brick chimney and other redundant walls. The main dining table, from an adjacent room, was relocated to the large 6 by 6.5 metre kitchen, this has created a dramatic affect which is evident in the after and before photos.

The new kitchen area is in affect a large family room which now leads into a newly created living room. A media room was also fashioned from the re-planning of the entire ground floor.

New furniture and curtains compliment the new kitchen joinery, and the owners state that their "...family environment has been significantly improved..."
